Mizan

Factory ERP in Egypt: what a batch really cost

A processing or packing factory loses money in places a ledger does not show: the yield that came in lower than the supplier said, the packaging weight paid for as product, the batch that ran over. Mizan keeps those on records, so the cost of a batch is a number you can read rather than a guess at month end.

01What does it cover for a factory?

02How does it work out the cost of a batch?

The whole delivered quantity enters the warehouse as one lot with its full cost, while the yield rate decides only what you pay the supplier. Packaging weight is deducted before price and yield. A processing run then compares what was expected with what came out, so the yield, the waste and the cost per unit each show their variance.

03How are supplier accounts kept?

04Is it in Arabic, with several companies on one system?

Mizan works in Arabic and English, with a help centre article for every screen in both. Several companies can run on one system, each with its own modules and user cap and its own separate data.

05Is it used for real?

Yes. Mizan runs live for herb and spice processing and export companies and for a certification body. We do not claim a customer in Egypt that we have not named; ask us for a demonstration on your own process.

06Who is behind it, and how do I see it?

mbsystems, a software company founded in 2013 in Vienna, Austria, with offices in Vienna, Cairo and Muscat. We write Mizan ourselves, so a change a factory needs is a change we make.
